The Trug

The Trug

The Trug (aka basket)... is a traditional British, oblong basket used primarily for harvesting, carrying, and displaying flowers, fruits, and vegetables, often constructed from wooden strips (willow and chestnut) with a handle. These durable, lightweight, and versatile baskets originated in Sussex, England, and are popular for their charming, functional design. But, the trug is not just for gathering in the garden!

This basket can be used in so many ways! Take a stroll through the photos for a few ideas!

I created a pretty flower arrangement by using vases inside the trug to hold water.
