Mini Greenhouse Styling Ideas
HOME SUPPLY Co. Spring Box
When I spotted this little glass and galvanized greenhouse I knew I wanted it for the Spring HOME SUPPLY Co. Box! I mean it's cute, right? Perfect for all seasons!
I'll share some ideas for spring and every day in this blog post.
Keeping a little Easter display simple.
This little rabbit and felted eggs (2 mini clay pots not shown) came in the spring box and are perfect for spring and Easter! Adding a few chocolate eggs would look adorable too! The olive green shred makes the ideal Easter grass in the greenhouse.
Sometimes we end up telling the story we didn't know we intended to tell.
This little vignette reminds me of the backyard of my grandma's house. I remember the clothesline in her small, narrow backyard and a narrow brick planter bed filled with pink and purple flowers. I would hand her the old-fashioned clothespins to hang clothes and her kitchen aprons on the line. Until I started to write this blog post about what I used to style this vignette did I realize it was a memory forgotten until now!
I used sheet moss on the greenhouse tray to mimic green grass. I found it at my local craft store. A vintage seed packet, a flower frog, and, a little vintage chicken thimble makes me think of a country garden with chickens roaming about. I set the greenhouse on a stack of green books to add a-bit-of color and texture. Dried eucalyptus in a pot is reminiscent of an old shade tree! Hand-stamped vintage clothespins add to the feeling of a spring day hanging clothes on the line.
Look around your house to see what little treasures you may have to create a story with your little, greenhouse!
Isn't this little dog so cute!?
Anytime you put an object under glass it elevates the specialness of it! This little metal dog, my grandson named "dog", (lol!)standing on the moss makes him look like he is out in a hunting field. Keeping it simple makes him the star of the show! I found this vintage dog book at a church fundraising sale and I think it looks so cute in this little scene!
Something a little unexpected!
A vintage wind-up clock under the greenhouse!... a great look for an everyday display! Corralling a few things on a tray creates a more curated and cohesive look. I used an old crock with some faux greens and a little transfer ware custard cup in green. Tying all the elements and colors together! On the coffee table, it makes a great conversation piece!
Mixing metals is now in style!
Another idea for an everyday display under the greenhouse is this mini vintage alarm clock and my perfume bottles. I have it sitting on a wooden riser on my dresser. (and yes, I've gotten older! This photo was taken 10 years ago! My how time flies!) It used to be that mixing metals was not in style but, now it has become popular. It gives a home a warm and, cozy, collected look!
HOME SUPPLY Co. Box Friends, I hope this has given you some inspiration for your little greenhouse. There will be more to share as the seasons change! Imagine little Christmas trees and fairy lights!
What creative ideas do you have for this adorable little greenhouse?
